Product Description

Easy to pick up challenges: including Dodge The Logs; Stomp The Mole, Count Your Steps and many more. Variety of games: 4 single player and 3 multiplayer game modes including battle, team and relay. Total active body movement: using simultaneous movements on the play mat and with the Wii controllers. Great replay value: evaluate individual performance and progress with regular grading. Customisation and more: import your Mii characters to enjoy the fun.

The game includes the specially designed Family Trainer Mat Controller which, when combined with the Wii Remote, lets players get totally physical in a series of crazed challenges. Unlike other games for the Wii which only focus on the arms, Family Trainer gets the feet involved too for total body gameplay. Simple controls and intuitive play make the game easy to just pick up and play, and let players of any age get involved, get physical and have maximum fun.

There are over a dozen frantic single and multiplayer challenges to choose from all based on outdoor challenges amusingly interpreted for the world of Family Trainer, such as river rafting, mine karting, log jumping, rope skipping and much more.

Players can challenge friends or family members on the same mat, or cooperate together, for example trying to balance a runaway mine kart as it hurtles round a gravity defying track. Players can track their progress and set new records for their friends and family to beat, bringing a dose of healthy competition into the madcap mix.

5 out of 5 stars Fabulous   December 30, 2008

I have both Wii Fit and now Family Trainer - I am surprised as the family trainer gets you far more active than wii fit does. The exercises are simple and fun - especially if there is a group of you as you can all laugh at each others expense.

Very funny, very active, I would definitely recommend this game for light hearted fun and exercise.

The only problem is on the multi player mode, the game mat isn't always big enough for two adults - my family found that when 2 adults were on it they bumped into each other whilst competing.

Otherwise, a fab game!

Received this game today, kids love it, great fun, keeps you an the kids VERY FIT, my kids are 5 & 7, they picked the actions up very quickly, put me to same, but hey, when they are in bed .........., we LOVED EVERY every minute we played the FAMILY TRAINING.
If you wan to get fit, and not leave the house and spend lots on a gym, then this is the one for you, it will get you fit while having FUN.

Forget using this game to keep fit! It's just loads of fun and so easy to play but with different levels which really help. We have two kids aged 6 and 3 and we all play together - both with and against each other which is fantastic. Yes, the games are short but that suits kids as it's stops them getting bored. We had friends round for an evening and this kept us amused all evening - and the fact that it's short games, works even better as we kept chopping and changing all evening. Lastly, because the skills levels are low, it doesnt matter if you don't play it regularly! I'd recommend it to anyone - but not as a means of getting fit!

a word of advise, in my opinion this is not a game to paly alone or to think it is the solution to avoid the gym. this is intended to be a FAMILY trainer. this does not train only the physic, it trains the coopetition within your family.
the game has 2 very distintt multi player modes, cooperation and competition. the cooperation is great to bond with kids of all ages. the competition is a great drinking game :)

i got this game for christmas as a present, we were not convinced about it at all... until we gave it a go colectivelly.
i have 2 kid, 1 aged 3 years old and another one 5 years old. I had my mom and my sister over for christmas and we spent countless hours playing the game. but you need to play it as a group. even my mother who is absolutelly adverse to computer games, had a go and loved it. My eldest son admited that this was the best christmas present he got, and we gave him everything he asked for...

for new year we had a couple of friends arround and this game was the main feature of the night. whilst the kid were still awake, all the frineds and theyr kids played the game together, either in team mode or compeating, we had mothers vs mothers, family teams, kids againt parents.. was great fun. after the kids went to bed we stating the drinking game... well it did not end well, to many forfits, and what people complain that the games are short, i tell you that is a disaster for drinking games. the tequila really sufered! no need to say that we had a great time and lots of people staing over not being in good condition to drive.

i can understand how people who play it on their own can get disapointed. i dont believe this is a replacement or direct competition to the wii fit, this is THE SOCIAL GAME that makes the wii so successful. if you are a gamer or a billy no mates, forget this game. if you are not into playing games on your own or your prefer socilizing, entertain and family get togethers to interacting with a TV and console, this is the game for you!

5 out of 5 stars Tougher workout than you think - very good!   November 19, 2009

We have Wii sport resort which we love and this is an excellent addition. My 8yr old daughter really loveS it as its so immersive.I had a go myself and found it gives you a great workout, very physical, especially when running and jumping are involved.

For the price this is a bargain and more than worth the cost.

If you want your kids to make a positive connection between happiness and exercise then this game will start them on the right path and they'll be trying to improve their performance, which will increase their fitness.

For cold winter nights its a great way to keep kids happy and active. Playing in pairs is so much fun too.

BUY IT YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO! DON'T WAIT TILL 2012...IT WILL BE TOO LATE TO GET IN SHAPE THEN.... :-)
