Product Description

If life were an endless vacation, what would you do? Go fishing, collect shells or watch fireworks with friends? Build a snowman, exchange presents with family or decorate your house for the holidays? Take a trip to the city, go on a shopping spree or visit friends from all over the globe? In Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City, life moves at a relaxed pace, but the world brims with endless possibilities.

  • There's Always Something New To Do: In the living, breathing world of Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City, days and seasons pass in real-time, so there's always something to discover. Catch fireflies in the summer, go trick-or-treating on Halloween or hunt for eggs on Bunny Day. If you're in the mood for something a little faster paced, take a bus to a new urban city area that's unique to Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City. There you can catch a show at the theatre or check out the sales at Gracie's boutique. But if you don't show your face back home for too long, your neighbours will miss you.
  • Interact With Friends: Up to four people from your household can live and work together to build the perfect town. Design clothes and patterns, write letters and post messages on the bulletin board for each other, or invite up to three friends to visit your town using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. With the new Wii Speak microphone, it's like you're all in the same room. The microphone sits atop the sensor bar and picks up the conversation of everyone in the room to encourage a more inclusive experience.
  • Get To Know Your Neighbours: The heart of Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City is building relationships with the animals in your town as well as with other players. Befriend your animal neighbours by exchanging letters, gifts and favours. Animals can also move from town to town, bringing their memories and stories from their old towns with them. And since animals

5 out of 5 stars Fun, Relaxing game   September 1, 2009

If you liked the first animal crossing on ds you'll love this one!

It is basically a game of life where you pass through seasons, catch bugs, fish and collect items, buy and sell at nooks cranny, go to the city to discover your fortune, compete in auctions, buy expensive furniture at Gracie Grace, join the happy room accademy to improve your home, got to the theater to get new emotions, go and get a make over or a haircut, go to crazzy redds to buy some rip off furnature but the thing is you can't buy that stuff any where else. Theres so much more to discover!!!

Check the latest messages by the town hall to see if theres any shows or festivals going on in the city. Catch k.k slyder peform his weird songs on saterdays at 8 pm in the coffie shop. Its a great game and i would reccomend it!

My daughter has this game on her DS but I decided to buy it for the Wii (due to the screen being too small on the DS for me to play too!)
It is a brilliant game. Infact, I play it more than my daughter (much to her annoyance!)
If I had realised before hand, I wouldn't have bought it with the Wii Speak as I don't intend using it 'connected' (hindsight is a wonderful thing!)
A truly brilliant game.

5 out of 5 stars Good Game for Wii   February 20, 2009

I bought this game a few weeks ago now. When it arrived I looked at the box and thought it looked babyish. But when I played it everything changed. You start off as a newcomer to the village(that you name) and gradually earn more money(by selling at Nook's Cranny).

The game is also great with friends as this game is compatible with wii speak. There are no goals or high scores to aim to so you can just enjoy making your town better.

The overall comment I have is that it is not babyish and is a good game for wii.

I find as a mum that this game is fun for all the family, I mean even I can play it !! The game has encouraged healthy competition along with the idea of sharing:-)

However the game also encourages my kids to think about the environment, helping people out, saving and the ideas around finances and family life.

Would very much recommend this game to children and adults alike!!

5 out of 5 stars I've just got the game this morning...   December 5, 2008

My copy of Animal Crossing: LGTTC arrived promptly this morning (Thank you, Amazon!) and so far, I'm really impressed. Once you get round pointing and clicking instead of the DS-style touch screen, you're onto a winner.

Getting the bus into the city is great, as now all the characters you usually only see every now and then (Gracie, Redd, Shrunk, Lyle, Katrina...) are all waiting for you. Gracie has a boutique which charges extortionate prices, Shrunk stars in a rubbish theatre show and Katrina once again rips you off via her cryptic 'palm-readings'. There are also a bunch of characters you recognise as neighbours from the DS version floating around for you to chat to, such as Apollo, Poncho, etc.

You can also change your image with a 3,000 bell hairdo at Shampoodle or upload your Mii character on screen! I tried it before, and it looks really strange having your own face amongst all the animals! Alternatively, you can download your character from the DS version onto the screen, though you can only bring your furniture catalogue and name with you, not your house, bells, etc.

I have only been playing for an hour or two, but I thought I'd get my review in early for all those who are still unsure whether this version is worth buying. I'd certainly say that it is, and I'm sure it will be another massive hit for Nintendo.
