Product Description

Last year's game topped the league and now the all-new FIFA 10 is looking to defend its title as the number one football action game. More realistic than ever, this latest sequel has greatly improved artificial intelligence, ball physics and graphics.

Brand new this year is the 360 degree dribbling system, giving you the most precise control ever. There are also changes to how the defensive line is formed, as well as improvements to crosses, freekicks and goalkeepers (who can now receive red cards).

Naturally the game retains its hugely successful on and offline multiplayer modes, with new options and better stability for online play. The manager mode has also seen a massive update to make it just as deep and complex as the main game. With all these new features and more EA Sports are betting on FIFA remaining the champions for a long time to come.

Key Features

  • Leagues better: The world's most successful football sim gets even better with improvements across the board, including physics, controls and multiplayer options.
  • Dynamic dribble: New 360 degree dribbling control system allows for pixel perfect control of the ball at all times
  • Football focus: Newly improved artificial intelligence ensures teammates and opponents always move with a purpose and stay focused on the ball at all times
  • Beautiful game: Massively improved graphics, including better player likenesses, new crowd animations and new rain and snow effects that really affect the gameplay.
  • Master manager: Greatly expanded manager mode, with a revamped experience point system and staff upgrades, a new interface and the chance to edit kit numbers.

5 out of 5 stars great game for the family   January 30, 2010

I was given this as a christmas pressie by my wife who didn't think I would bother that much with it but I think it's brilliant !! I actually make time to play the game almost each day to get my wee fix !! I can see why serious gamers poo poo it but really if you have a young-ish family they will have great fun.

my daughter (12 yrs old) and I play it and I play battle for glory which is one of the manager type games and you can buy players from all over the world for your team. if your team is further down the leagues you wont be able to buy messi straight away you will need to improve your teams rating first.

but the transfer windows and all round manager experience are brilliant although I am new to this gamer lark. if you have a young family and want to get a footie game that is quite easy to get the hang of, with differing levels of difficulty, and one you can play with all the family go with this one.

5 out of 5 stars Great Fifa   September 27, 2009

Fifa on the Wii has always been the slightly ugly younger brother of Fifa on the Xbox360 and PS3, but not this time.
Realising that porting a PS2 game to the Wii is no good, Fifa 10 on the Wii has been built from the bottom up.
This is more of an arcade game than a football simulation, and that is a good thing.

If you want perfect visuals then get yourself and Xbox360. But if you want easy to pick up, non-stop fun then this is the game for you.

Having played Fifa on the Xbox360 the differences are obvious, mainly the graphics, but as soon as you start playing teh Wii version you soon forget that and realise you are playing something special here.

There are multiple control techniques from just the wiimote whereby your running is controlled by teh Wii and you just controll the passing and shooting by pointing on screen. Then there is the Nunchuk advanced mode, whereby you control the player with the Nunchuck and the passing and shooting with the Wiimote, this is by far the most satisying way to play the game. And for those of you who hate anything new or different you can even plug in a classic controller and play the same as you would on a Xbox360.

The mini games are gone, but then no one liked them anyway, instead you can practice to your hearts content free kicks, open play, penalties and so on.

I would definitely say this is the best football game yet released on the Wii, and if you can take put your Xbox snobbery away for a minute you might just find a game here that is just as good if not more fun than its prettier older brothers.

5 out of 5 stars Fifa 10 great fun   November 6, 2009

First of all I am not a kiddie reviewing this but a near 40 something football fan who has played most football games since football manager came out on the ZX Spectrum 48k in 1981. This game sees a change from the usual fifa type games and is more cartoony and arcady the sort of game ideal to pick up and have a quick 30minute session playing.

The only downside is you cant seem to create an international team tournament but all your club teams from various leagues are present and available to select. You can play online, a basic manager mode and create a tournament and compete in various cups and leagues from across the world.

The graphics are crisp and vibrant and suit the wii superbly but more importantly the chanting and sounds are second to none, commentry that is fluid and actual team specific chants , My team Cardiff City chant in the swansea slums for example and the hey jude song but replaced with la la la city. This is a great touch.

You shoot by flicking up the wii remote and control the nunchuck to move your players around and press a to pass. Its quite tricky to start off I lost 8-2 in my first game but after some endeavour lost 4-3 against the same team. So in summary this is not fifa as you know it but if you enjoyed Virtua striker or similair fun kick around arcade games Id defo go for it.

This game is for my 7 year old grandson.
He is FOOTBALL mad and plays it all the time.
The first copy I received was not readable by his Wii console, so I returned and a replacement was received in 2 days. No hassle to return, excellent service.
